Near to the camping a big part of the river is used as a swimming pool, with free entry. Besides there is a pleasant restaurant where you can enjoy the delicious courses of the region.
On 3 km distance you find the village Castanheira de Pera with nice shops and terraces.
It is also possible to enjoy the beach “Praia das Rocas”. It is a new project opened in 2004. On the beach you find palm trees, a swimming pool and a wave pool with also pleasant shops and terraces. The surrounding area is excellent to go for a walking tour. A day on the beach at the coast belongs to the possibilities too.
On 10 km distance you'll find the village Figueiro dos Vinhos. Every saturday there is a typical Portugese market.
